This week, the Gainesville City Commission narrowed its slate of candidates for the Gainesville Regional Utilities general manager position down to three finalists: Edward Bielarski Jr., Charles Dickerson and Robert McGarrah.
The commission had previously conducted interviews with those three individuals as well as three other finalists, which were recorded.
The commissioners still have to decide how they want to rank their final three candidates at a future meeting, after which negotiations can start.
For residents who want to weigh in on who they think should be ranked No. 1 but haven’t figured out who they like best yet, it might be helpful to check out the recorded interviews with the top three candidates to see how they answered the commission’s questions.

Those interviews will also be shown on Community 12TV at 9 a.m. on April 8, according to a city news release.
