A new poll shows waning voter support for medical marijuana.
The joint Tampa Bay Times/Bay News 9/UF Bob Graham Center poll showed 48 percent support, 44 percent opposition and seven percent undecided, the Tampa Bay Times reported Wednesday.
That’s a nearly 10 percent decline in support from an early September poll that showed 57 percent support.
A constitutional referendum required 60 percent support to pass.
The telephone survey included 781 registered Florida voters and was conducted from Oct. 7-12, the Tampa Bay Times reported. The Bob Graham Center for Public Service and UF Bureau of Economic and Business Research conducted the survey.
