Alachua County and the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce are hosting a business and economic growth workshop tonight, where people will break out into groups to discuss the county’s strategic plan as well as perceptions of economic development in the county.
The workshop will be held at the Alachua County Senior Center, located at 5701 NW 34th St. in Gainesville, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It’s a public-private partnership between the County Commission and the Chamber of Commerce.
The goal of this event is to provide an opportunity to discuss how to improve the county’s outlook when it comes to business and economic growth as well as to present the Strategic Plan for Economic Development, which was recently created by the county’s Economic Development Advisory Committee, and get feedback on it, according to a county news release.
